I went out with my dearest parents today to Bt Batok Central to look for a contractor name Tony. He gave me a rough idea of how my room will look like after some renovation/touch-up/carpentary work! So excited! The living room will be black-and-white and my room, pink-and-white! My parents said it was very ”a-go a-go/retro”! hahahaa. I like! (x

After that, we went to my new house! The previous owner had given us the keys already! yay! I’m finally a resident of The Madeira. >)

To sum up, I spent today sleeping in Dad’s car, strolling around and eating! Despite sleeping at 11pm last night, and dozing off in my Dad’s car for about 40 minutes this afternoon, I’m still feeling very sleepy! Oh dear…… I need some Chicken Essence! Lol.

Hockey: I went for training yesterday and the coach told me that if I were to attend the upcoming trainings regularly, I should be able to take part in the A’div next month! And of course, my Floorball skills will not go down the drain. (Hello, I’m feeling remorseful for rejecting the Combined Sch trial last year. -.-)

Debate: Improves my GP and GK(?), argumentative skills and makes me a more confident speaker; which is really helpful for my Oral Presentation!!!

Should I join Hockey or Debate? Which will benefit me more? HELP ME PEOPLE!!!!!!!

First day of school in Pioneer JC. Hmmmm….. Apparently the students there aren’t as enthusiastic as students from JJ. But, the air-con in Pioneer is much cooler than JJ’s! Hahaha. Okay.. I sound as if I’m there for the air-con. -________-”

Also, Amanda and I have bought PJ’s uniform already! Hmmmm…. When I see my fellow seniors wearing the uniform, I thought it was seriously nice! However, this opinion changed after I saw myself in it; the top seemed too baggy, and the skirt was damn damn looooong. Have to get it altered, duh! Hahahhaa.

Since I’m really really bored now (and of course, before the hectic academic and lifeless days start), I shall blog about ONE issue which is commonly discussed or seen by many thesedays!

Homosexual
Personally, I feel that Lesbians aren’t that unsightly/disgusting/abnormal, however, gays are seriously quite unsightly/disgusting/abnormal! Can you image two guys – one may be more manly than the other, or in worse circumstance, both are damn ‘sissy’ – holdaing hands while shopping, one carrying the handbag for the other, kissing on the elevators, doing that really hilarious action done by their fingers (if you know what I mean) AND MOST DISGUSTINGLY, THE REALLY WHINY TONE OF THEIRS!!!!! LIKE ‘‘hmmm/ummm/don’t like that la/ehhhhhhhhhh~~~~” WTH!

However, for Lesbians, the more manly one, who acts as the ‘boyfriend’ looks okay, and the other half, who is supposedly the girlfriend, looks perfectly normal! So it really seems like this’ a NORMAL and common relationship between a ‘male’ and female! Of course, just that both of them have 2 special things in common. *coughs* ^^

Actually, I wanna continue this post about my view on Underage sex. However, I know deep in my heart I will offend 73931 people if I were to type this out HERE. So, I shall either post in my private blog, or just keep it to myself. >)

“MORE people were hurt or killed as a result of violent crime last year, in particular, rape.

Overall, there were 4,354 cases involving violence reported, compared to 4,113 in 2007. Crimes that fall under this category include murder, rape, and crimes committed using force.

Rape cases shot up to 109 from 72 in 2007. According to the police, most of the victims were known to their attackers and had been in relationships of one form or another.

There was also a sharp rise in girls below the age of 16 having sex, with 310 cases last year compared to 216 the year before, a trend that the police have cited as ‘worrying’.

Statutory rape, which involves those below 14, jumped from 57 cases to 63 last year. Carnal connection, which involves girls below the age of 16 having sex, leapt from 159 to 247 cases.

Top on the police’s priority list is curbing the rising number of females engaging in underaged sex.

Clinical psychologist Carol Balhetchet said the trend was ‘alarming’ and one she had begun to notice as early as 2006.

‘Teenagers these days are bolder and want to be seen by their peers as experienced and worldly-wise. They don’t realise how great the repercussions of their actions are,’ she said.

‘Not only will girls have to cope with teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, the boys involved will also have their futures (tainted) by a criminal record.’

Of the 460 minors she counselled last year, more than half have had some form of sexual experience.

Both the police and Dr Balhetchet highlighted that parental intervention was crucial, as most of the perpetrators were either boyfriends or friends of the victims.

Police have also held discussions with teachers from secondary schools and junior colleges about sex-related offences and laws. Discussions have also covered the consequences of underage sex and the use of technology in sexual crimes.

Teachers have been asked to help disseminate these messages to students.

Collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, the National Crime Prevention Council and police will also continue.

The aim is to develop new initiatives for intervention with youth in the form of workshops and crime awareness talks.

Murder cases also spiked, from 18 to 26. Of these, 10 cases involved foreigners as the perpetrators. At least 10 of the victims were also foreigners.

Police however, emphasised that the murders were largely isolated incidents and mostly crimes of passion that arose from disputes.

Four of the murders still remain unsolved, including October’s high-profile murder at Flanders Square in Little India, when a Malaysian prostitute was stabbed.“
